Every year, five out of 1000 children die before reaching adulthood. They leave behind orphaned parents, grandparents, siblings and school friends, for whom their untimely death is incomprehensible, and the blow struck by fate almost more than they can cope with. Yet eventually, as time passes, life acquires a new meaning. In remembering the child, grief gives way to a sense of never-ending gratitude – for the time spent together.
